1790 Edgecombe Co NC Census. (Ancestry.com digital online) 1 white male over 16, two under 16, 3 females.
1800 Censuses in Edgecombe County NC; not found in 1810. By 1807 he was living in the Ashpole Swamp area of Robeson Co NC. His records are as Solomon Sr after he moved to Robeson Co [he had been Solomon Jr in Edgecombe Co] In 1830 he is in Robeson County NC. In Sep 1831, Solomon sold his reamining tracts in Robeson Co to William Hill of Marion District SC. His son Solomon was in Gadsden Co FL in time for the 1830 Census. Solomon II's family went to Florida by spring of 1832 as in court records of Robeson Co NC. They apparently fled North Carolina after Solomon sold lands he had pledged for bond for his daughter Laurida who had murdered her bastard child. They were possibly in Walton Co FL during the Creek War 1836-37.
