Benajah Pippin

Benajah married Mary Weeks after May 1798 and before 1800. She is referred as Mary Pippin in the wills of bother her father and mother. Mary was the daughter of James Weeks & Selah Pender. James Weeks wrote his will 11 Nov 1809 at which time he gave Mary a slave and bed & furniture already in her possession. Her mother's will was dated 26 Jul 1827 - she gave her daughter Mary Pippin 10 shillings.

Benajah was underage when his father died and he selected his brother Noah as his buardian at the May Court of 1798.

The census records indicate only one child was born, a daughter Mary born about 1799. The family was counted on the 1800 & 1810 censuses for Edgecombe Co but have not been found anywhere else.

Named in the estate settlement of his sister Olive in 1806.

In 1806, Benajah and Noah sold the 150 acres they had received from their father to Jesse Knight.
