Individual Details

Abraham Pippin

(Abt 1758 - )

Abraham was probably married twice, the second time about 1800, but nothing is known about either wife. As one of his sons is named Hill, that is a possibility for the surname of one of the wives. There were two sons counted in 1790, probably Lewis & Hill. There were three more sons & three daughters in 1810 and one of these younger sons was probably Joseph. There may have been other children.

Abraham was in Edgecombe Co for the 1790 Census; 1 white male over 16, two under 16, one female. He is found numerous times in the Edgecombe records from 1787 until 1800 when he was named in the estate settlement of his father
His family has not been found in 1800, but they probably moved to Sumter Co that year. The Aug Court of 1800 back in Edgecombe Co listed him in arrears for his 1799 tax.
He was in Sumter County SC in 1810 and had witnessed a deed there as early as 1802.
No further documents of Abraham have been found.
