Mrs. Christine Hawkinson, beloved wife of Charles H., died at her home about a mile west of Harris, last Thursday, March 18, age 36 years and 3 months. The funeral took place at the Mission church of Harris, Rev. Shodahl
conducting the services. The church was most tastefully draped and decorated for the sad occassion by the Mission church members. The flowers were very beautiful, two of the pieces being presented by the Modern Woodsmen and Royal Neighbors of Golden Chain Camp of which camp Mrs. Hawkinson was a member. Six of the Royal Neighbors acted as pall bearers and it was a very long procession of mourners and sympathetic friends who followed the remains to their last resting place at the Harris cemetery. Mrs. Hawkinson leaves a husband and eight children to mourn her loss. She was a devoted and faithful wife, mother and friend, always kind and cheerful, and her loss will be deeply felt in the community and sincerely mourned by her large circle of friends.
