Harry's birth certificate on file in Center City, MN has his name as
"Royal"; there is a notation on it "Christian name added from affidavit of
brother 25 June 1942".

Harry was a near life long resident of the Harris-Rush City area, having
moved his family to Rush City in December of 1947 where he established his
successful plumbing business. He enjoyed fishing and got a great deal of
enjoyment from his lake cabin near Rush City.

with Mr. and Mrs. Al Hawkinson this week.

Harry Hawkinson Services Said
Funeral services for a near life-long resident of the Harris-Rush City area,
Harry G. Hawkinson of Rush City, 70, were conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3,
from the Olson Funeral Chapel, Rush City.
Rev. George L. Asp officiated. Mrs. Dean Goebel was the soloist and Mrs.
Lloyd Finnie the organist.
Active pallbearers were Jan Larson, Paul Carlson, Darys Larson, Harlan
Krinke, Art Hawkinson and Marlin Larson. Honorary bearers were John Nelson,
Vic Buisman, James Ordner, Marlyn Moses, James McGuire, George Jennings, Adrain
Robinson and Dennis Frandsen.
Burial was at Oakgrove Cemetery, Harris.
Harry Goodwin Hawkinson, son of the late Charles and Christine Hawkinson,
was born near Harris on Jan. 28, 1902.
He and Harriet Larson were married on June 27, 1936. To this union four
daughters were born.
The family moved to Rush City in December of 1947, where Mr. Hawkinson
started his plumbing business.
Death came unexpectedly to him at this home in Rush City at 2 a.m., Monday,
January 31.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Clifford,
Willy and Alfred; and one sister, Mamie.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet; four daughters: Karin (Mrs. Curtis
Barker) of Harris, Lorna (Mrs. Gary Johnson) of Coon Rapids, June (Mrs. Louis
Lilie) of Quamba, and Sue Ellen at home; nine grandchildren: Mike, Ronnie,
Linda, Debbie, Shelly, Jim, Billy, Steve and Cory; one sister, Belle of Simi,
Calif.; two brothers: Carl of Billings, Mont. and Gilbert of Yakima, Wash.; a
half-sister, Mildred of Siren, Wis.; also many nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
