Augusta was born on the Nils P. Swenson farm on North Hogsback Road on March
19, 1878. She attended District School #33, and taught there for a number of
terms, even after she was married. Before her marriage she resided in the
household of her brother-in-law, Chas. O. Hawkinson. This was in 1910.
She attended "The Training School" which opened in July 1895 in Lindstrom,
Minnesota, and taught at District School #33 from April 1900 to March 1901,
later going to Stark School #23 before returning to #33.
She also taught at Harris School, District #43. This was before her marriage
to John Forsberg.
