Anna Johnson was born in the Parish of Lagmansered, Wandryd, Sweden and
emigrated to America from Alvsborg in 1871.
After emigrating from Sweden, Anna was employed in Rush City, Minnesota by a
General Pratt of the Civil War doing housework. She met Nels Swenson and they
were married on December 6, 1872.
