Burial Rites for Anna Pederson
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Calvary Lutheran church for Mrs. Anna Pederson of Hendricks, who passed away at the Hendricks hospital on Monday, Sept.16, 1968. Rev. Gordon Solheim spoke at the family service and Pastor L. C. Kallevig at the public service. Clifton Pederson, a grandson, gave a tribute to the deceased.
Mrs. Pete Hinsverk and Mrs. Teddy Mathison sang at the family service. Mrs. Carvell Johnson was organist and she also accompanied Hazel Evenson, Hazel Gilbertson, Mrs. Kenneth Midtaune and Mrs. Pernie Bogen, who sang two songs.
Serving as pallbearers were Alvin Thoreson, Bennie Thoreson, Eddie Ronning, Martin Mathison, Adolph Trooien and Adolph Mathison. Interment was at East Hendricks Cemetery.
Anna Thoreson was born April 29, 1886 in Lincoln county, Minn., to Nils and Beret Thoreson and lived her whole life in this vicinity. She was baptized and confirmed in the Singsaas Lutheran church.
She was united in marriage with Christian Pederson on March 23, 1911, at Hendricks. To this union were born seven children. She reached the age of 82 years, four months and 18 days.
Mrs. Pederson was preceded in death by her husband, Christ, in 1948; one daughter, Alice Morken; one daughter-in-law, Grace; one granddaughter, Gladys; her parents, three brothers, and six sisters.
She is survived by six children: Eddie, Alvin, Hilda and Mrs Clara Morseth of Hendricks; Nels of Minneapolis and Mrs. Alfred Skovly (Beulah) of Astoria, SD. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran church in Hendricks, which she had attended faithfully as long as health permitted.
