Clara Pederson was born January 24, 1920 in Hendricks township, Lincoln County, MN to Christian (Christ) and Anna (Thoreson) Pederson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Free Church and attended school in District #51. She lived with her family on the farm 1-3/4 miles east of Hendricks. She survived tuberculosis and married Arthur Morseth on October 15, 1949. They farmed until his death on February 1, 1968. She moved to Hendricks and continued working at the nursing home for a total of about 25 years. She was in the hospital a week and in the nursing home a week before she died on January 21, 1997, at the Hendricks Nursing Home. Had she lived, she would have been 77 years old on the day of her funeral.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan 24, 1997 at Singsaas Lutheran Church, rural Hendricks, with Pastor John Trom officiating. Organist was Nancy Sandro. Pallbearers were Dale, Gail, Kenny and Todd Johnson, David Lewis and Ryan Squires.
Burial was in the Singsaas Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art; brothers: Eddie and Nels; sisters: Alice Morken and Beulah Skovly; two nieces and a nephew.
