Art Morseth Rites Held February 2
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 3, 1968 at Singsaas Lutheran church for Arthur Gerhard Morseth, with Rev. H. W. Melby officiating.
Music was furnished by a men’s group, a ladies trio and by Mr. and Mrs. Roger Trooien. The organist was Mrs. Jerry Nolz of Clear Lake, SD.
Burial was in the Singsaas cemetery with Donald Crooks, Glen Kvernmo, Bennie Hindbjorgen, Arnold Eggen, Lowell Stegner, and Gilbert Eggen serving as pallbearers.
Art, son of Ambrosius and Gunhild Morseth, was born September 3, 1912 at Hendricks, Minn., and passed away February 1, 1968 at the home place where he was born. He was baptized by Rev. Ekse and confirmed by Rev. Espelin in the Lutheran faith at Singsaas Lutheran church where he was a lifetime member. He was united in marriage to Clara Pederson October 15, 1949, and was engaged in farming up to the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anna and two brothers: Oscar and Melvin, who died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; one sister, Mrs. Clara Sommervold, and two brothers, Oscar and Norin, all of Hendricks. A number of nieces, nephews and friends also mourn his passing.
