Death
Mrs. Martha Delania Furr, 51 years of age, and wife of Adam L. Furr, died at her home in Western Stanly Thursday, July 4th, following an attack of paralysis. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where the deceased had been a faitful member for yeaqrs. Elders Treece and Eudy officiated. Besides her husband, Mrs. Furr is survived by the following children: Henry, Mildred, Mrs. Travis Almond, Flora Bell, Luther, Clara, Grover, Elmire, Tina, Ellen, and Dora. Mrs. Furr was one of the prominent women of her community, and had many friends. She had been faithful to her church, family and friends. The funeral was largely sttended, and many beautiful floral offerings were had.Endnotes
