Death
ALBEMARLE, Dec. 19. — Robert N. Furr, 72, former sheriff and tax collector of Stanly county, died at 6:30 o'clock tonight at the home in Oakwood park. He had been ill for several months. He was a member of Central Methodist church and was well known throughout this section of the state. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. C. S. Moten, Mrs. J. E. Gantt, Mrs. J. R. Johnson, Mrs. Root Morgan and Mrs. C. L. Mauldin, all of this county; four sons, Arthur of Concord, W T., W. L., and Robert of Albemarle; four brothers, George and Hampton of Stanfield and Luther and James of Texas. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at Central Methodist church with Rev. J. H. Crandall in charge.
