Death
ALBEMARLE—M. C. Furr, 79-year-old retired farmer of Albemarle Route 3, died Sunday afternoon at 5:05 in the Stanly County hospital following a lengthy illness. A native of Stanly county he was the son of the late Ransom and Katherine Smith Furr. He was a member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 P. M. at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist church conducted by Elder C. M. Mills assisted by Rev. O. H. Bolch. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, C. C. Furr of Stanfield, Route 1, and A. E. Furr of Albemarle Route 3, five daughters, Mrs. A. A. Smith of Albemarle, Route 4, Mrs. W. H. Poplin, Richfield Route 1, Mrs. F. J. Barnhart of Stanfield Route 1, Mrs. H. G. Hatley of Albemarle, Route 3 and Mrs. J. E. Parnell of Concord, Route 9; one brother, Adam Furr of Stanfield, Route 1; and one sister, Mrs. Will Thomas of Albemarle.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, July 23, 1951
