Death
Mrs. Minnie Furr Hatley, 65, of Route 3, Albemarle, died Saturday night in the Stanly County Hospital after declining health. Funeral rites were Monday at 3 p.m. at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating were Elder Cliff Allen and Elder C. M. Mills. Born January 19, 1904 in Stanly County, she was daughter of the late M. C. and Dixie Burleson Furr. Her husband, Hardy G. Hatley, survives, along with two sons, George and Elbert of Albemarle; one daughter, Mrs. Dewey D. Hopkins of New London; two brothers, Craven Furr of Stanfield and Edward Furr of Albemarle; and! four sisters, Mrs. Ava Smith of Albemarle, Mrs. Della Barnhardt of Locust, Mrs. W. H. Poplin of Richfield and Mrs. James Parnell of Concord.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, March 11, 1969
