Death
ALBMARLE — Mrs. Maggie May Furr Poplin, 79,formerly of Richfield, died at her home Sunday afternoon. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Fairview Memorial Park. Elder C. M. Mills and the Rev. David Alexander will officiate. The family will at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight. She was the daughter of Marion and Dixie Burleson Furr. She was married to the late William Henry Poplin. She is survived by four sons, Vernon, of Landis, W. C. (Dub) of Concord, Dixie of Norwood and Elder Homer Poplin of Albemarle, three daughters, Mrs. Bob Searingen of Norwood, Mrs. Roy Daniel Speights, and Mrs. Smokey Leonard, both of Albemarle, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Craven of Oakboro, and Edward of Albemarle, a sister, Mrs. Buck Parnell of Concord. She was a member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church.Endnotes
