Death
Mrs. Matinda Furr, 82 years of age died at the home of her son, Adam Furr, Monday night at 8 o'clock. She had not been in good health for sometime. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment was made in the family cemetery. Mrs. Furr had been a widow forty years and was a prominent woman in her community. She was a member of Stanly County's oldest and best known families. The Furr family has long been prominent in Stanly County, and Mrs. Furr was no exception to the rule. Besides her son Adam, she leaves five other children, the names of whom the News-Herald has been unable to secure before going to press.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, April 15, 1927
