Death
HIGH POINT —- Glynn Ray Furr, 71, of 228 Boulevard died Thursday morning at his home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Dr, Bernard R. Fitzgerald and Dr. R. Delbert Byrum officiating. Burial will be at Floral Garden Park. For 33 years he owned and operated L.A. Dickens Refrigeration Co. and recently owned and operated Glenn's Coin Shop. Surviving are widow, Mrs. Martha Hodges Furr; daughter, Mrs. Ramelle Nash of Washington; sons, John A. Furr of Evanston, Ill., Glynn R. Furr Jr. of Austin, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Rob White of Glenola, Mrs. Lonnie Dickens of High Point, Mrs. Ramelle Gallimore of Guilford College; brothers, J. Clarence Furr of High Point, Earl Furr of Guilford College, Horace Furr of Atlanta, Ga., W. Elwood Furr of Rt. 4, High Point; four grandchildren. The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.The Greensboro Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, February 18, 1977
