Death
HIGH POINT - Mrs. Martha Hodges Furr, 81, of 203-A Rotary Drive died Saturday at Blue Ridge Manor Nursing Home in Raleigh. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park. A native of Henry County, Ala., she was a registered nurse and owned and operated Sanitary Seafood Market. She was a member of BPOE Elks Lodge No. 1155 Ladies' Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the American Nurses Association. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Ramelle F. Nash of Bethesda, Md.; sons, John Alexander Furr of Chicago, Glynn R. Furr Jr. of Cary; brothers, Grey Hodges of Montgomery, Ala., Col. Julian Hodges of Madison, Fla., Tullis Hodges of Dothan, Ala.; eight grandchildren. The family will be at Sechrest East Lexington Avenue Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Monday.
