Death
High Point. — Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Lee Furr, wife of J. M. Furr, 71, Guilford College, Route 1, who died at a local hospital. Thursday night after several days illness, will be conducted from the Sechrest Funeral Home this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Furr was born in Stanly county, July 21, 1871, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Lowder, and was a member of the Tar Wallet Baptist Church, Cumberland, Va. Surviving are the husband, J. M. Furr, Guilford College, Route 1; six sons, J. C. Furr, High Point; E. H. Furr, U. S. Navy; H. M. Furr, Atlanta, Ga.; G. R. Furr, C. W. Furr and W. E. Furr, all of High Point; five daughters, Mrs. G. L. Thompson, High Point; Mrs. W. H. Farlow, Burlington; Mrs. R. L. White, High Point, Route 3; Mrs. L. A. Dickens, Archdale, and Miss Ramelle Furr, New York city; one brother, S. E. Lowder, Albemarle; and one sister, Mrs. Kate Morton, Albemarle; 28 grandchildren. Burial will be in the Floral Garden Cemetery.Winston-Salem Journal, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, January 2, 1943
