Death
COLUMBIA—Mrs. Marie Furr Dickens, 81, widow of Lonnie A. Dickens, died Friday. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Dunbar Funeral Home, Divine Street Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon at 4p.m. She was born in Stanley County, N.C., and was a member of Forest Drive Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca D. Anderson of Columbia and Betty Lee Hajcak of Rexville, N.Y.; three brothers, Earl Furr of High Point, N.C., Elwood Furr of High Point, and Horace Furr of College Park, Ga., two sisters, Minnie F. White and Ramelle Furr, both of High Point, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Forest Drive Baptist Church Building Fund. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.Florence Morning News, Florence, South Carolina, August 6, 1988
