Death

ALBEMARLE — Theodore Frank Furr, 66, of 619 Rogers Street, died Thursday night at Stanly County Hospital. He had been in declining health for about a year. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stanly Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Paul Simpson. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The body will remain at the Stanly Funeral Home until the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock. Born April 25, 1912, in Stanly County, Mr. Furr was the son of the late James Adam and Ida Jane Smith Furr. Until his retirement, he had been associated with the Northside Curb Market. Survivors include his wife, Ossie Waller Furr of the home, three sons, Tommy Wayne Furr, Randy J. Furr, and Sherrill Lee Furr, all of Albemarle, three daughters, Mrs. Mike Smith of Albemarle, Mrs. Howard Pickler of New London, and Mrs. Donald Jenkins of Concord, two brothers, Jesse Furr and Barney Furr, both of Albemarle, one sister, Mrs. Hilda Sides of Albemarle, 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
