Death
ALBEMARLE — Hilda Furr Sides, 72, of 1118 Austin St., died Sunday morning at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday at Stanly Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charles Bowers and the Rev. Charles Smith. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Born Jan. 31, 1915, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Ida Smith Furr. She had retired from Wiscassett Mill Co. Survivors include her husband, Postle Isaac Sides; two sons, Glenn and Johnny Sides, both of Albemarle; two daughters, Bernice McGhee and Cathy Smith, both of Albemarle, two brothers, Barney Furr of Concord and Jessie Furr of Albemarle, 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Endnotes
