ALBEMARLE — J. Adam Furr, 78, retired merchant, died suddenly at 2:30 p. m. Thursday at his home, 110 Palestine Road. Funeral will be today at 2:30 p. m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. J. C. Bennett, Elder Jason Eudy and Elder Clarence Whitley. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Smith Furr: one daughter, Mrs. Postel Sides of Albemarle; seven sons, Theodore F., Jake, Hubert, Jesse E., Gilford Lee, Barney and Melvin Furr of Albemarle and one brother, Paul H.
