Death
Robert Carol Furr passed away July 22, 2017. Carol was born July 26, 1921 in Charlotte to Beecham Zerobie and Carrie Black Furr. He graduated from Central High School and received a certificate in textiles from NC State. He served in the army field artillery during World War II. Carol was recognized as a lawn and garden expert and was owner and operator of Furr's Seed and Garden Center in Charlotte until he retired in 1982. He was a good Christian man. Carol is survived by his loving wife, Martha, with whom he has shared 75 remarkable years together; two sons and a daughter; RC Furr, Jr and wife, Karen, Richard Furr and wife, Sandy, all of Greensboro, and Jeanne Murdock and husband, Steve of Concord. He also has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family would like to thank Hospice for all their love and care.
