Per "The genealogy of the Cleveland and Cleaveland families..etc." by Edmund James Cleveland dated 1899, page 2282, found at Heritage Quest Online: Martha Cleveland married Eleazer Titus on 13 Jan. 1785. She was the daughter of John Cleveland and Betsey Downer and he was the son of Capt. Samuel and Ann (Bigelow) Titus. All their children were born in Colebrook, Coos Co., NH.
1818 death date and Colebrook, Coos Co., NH location is from the William R. Arthurs study and confirmed by Ancestral File.
1816 pole tax shows him living on the George W. Martin farm in Colebrook, Coos Co., NH and taxed on one house, two oxen and three cows (see "History of Coos Co., NH" by Georgia Drew Merrill dated 1888, page 593 found at Heritage Quest Online).
1810 census shows him as age 45 or over (actual age 46) living with one male age 10-15 (this would have been son Anson age 11), two males ages 16-25 (this would be sons Eleazer Jr age 17 and Caleb age 19), 3 females 10-15 ( this may have included daughters Mary age 7, Anna age 15, but missing are daughters Abigail age 4, Martha age 4 and Betsey age 20 and sons Samuel age 22 and John age 24), one unknown female age 26-44 and one female age 45 and over (this is wife Martha age 47). The family was living in Colebrook, Coos Co., NH.
1806 cleared a farm on Titus Hill and was one of the earliest pioneers to settle in Colebrook, Coos Co., NH, per the "Titus Family in America" by Dorothy M. Titus dated July 1943.
1804 at the town meeting on 13 March 1804, in Landaff, Grafton Co., NH, Eleazer Titus was named but not sworn in as a Surveyor of Highways, per FHC film 15195 Landaff, NH, Town Records page 243.
1800 census shows Eleazer Titus living in Landaff, Grafton Co., NH with a female his age and six childern. One of his sons, John or Samuel, is missing from this census.
