Death called Jacob Lovro Friday, January 20, after an illness of seventeen months. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the home and at the Singsaas church, conducted by Rev. J. J. Ekse, and Rev. P. O. Lovseth of Astoria. Jacob Lovro was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ellef Lovro, residing northwest of Hendricks. He was born in Singsaas, Norway, January 22, 1894, so was twenty-eioght years at death, which was due to tuberculosis. On October 23, 1916 he married Laura Friestad who with a little daughter of four years survive, beside the parents, six brothers and one sister.
