CAR EXHAUST TAKES LIFE OF CITY MAN
Martin Lovro, 63, of 412 N. Leaders Ave., died Saturday morning at his home, apparently from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Police said the victim was found in the garage at his home at about 10:35 a.m. Dr. Durward Lang, deputy coroner, said the death was accidental. Death was caused by fumes emitted from an automobile running in the garage.
Mr. Lovro was born Sept. 8, 1908, at Hendricks, Minn. He farmed in the Hendricks area until 1945, when he moved to Sioux Falls. He was married to Gladys Brende Oct 22, 1950. From 1946 until 1966 Mr. Lovro worked as an office manager and accountant.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Bruce, and a daughter, Donna, at home; and four brothers, Even, Hendricks; Gilbert, St. Paul; Ingvald, Sioux Falls, and Johnny, Brookings.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the East Side Lutheran Church. The Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
