Notes
Death
Mrs. Emma Furr Rogers, wife of B. M. Rogers, died at her home at Oakboro Sunday evening about 7 o'clock. Aged 46 years. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy, from which she did not rally. Death came rather suddenly and as a great shock and surprise to both family and friends. Burial services were conducted at Canton church, where Rev. C. J. Black, former pastor, now of Kings Mountain, was in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Fred A. Bower, of Albemarle. Rev. and Mrs. Bower sang impressively a duet. The Albemarle Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, October 20, 1927
