Death
Mrs. Wade M. Lowder, 80, died suddenly Monday about 4:30 p.m. at the Ritchie Nursing Home in Concord where she had been living for some time. She formerly lived on Hickory Avenue in Albemarle. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Lefler Funeral Home Chapel in Albemarle with interment following in Fairview Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Y. Halford, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church of Albemarle. The body will remain at Lefler’s. The former Miss Minnie Furr, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Elizabeth Dunn Furr of Stanly County. Her husband preceded her in death in 1961. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Goodman of Greenville; one brother, Grover C. Furr of Greensboro; and three sisters, Mrs. C. A. Sells of Concord, Mrs. D. S. Hampton of Rockwell, and Mrs. Mary Hill of Albemarle. Mrs. Lowder was a member of First Baptist Church here.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, August 9, 1963
