Death
ALBEMARLE - Wade M. Lowder, 79, for the past 54 years a furniture salesman in Albemarle, died Thursday. He was born in Stanly County and was a member of Main Street Methodist Church and a licensed embalmer and funeral director. He was also a Scottish Rite mason and a member of Stanly Lodge 348. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Main Street Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Harley Dickson, assisted by Dr. T. L. Cashwell Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Furr Lowder; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Harwood of Washington, D.C.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, May 12, 1961
