Death
CONCORD — Mrs. Elmetta Furr Sell, 78, of 506 Hopkins street the Winecoff community died Monday at 4:15 p.m. at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Epworth Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. G. Howard Allred. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The body will remain at Wilkinson Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state half an hour prior to the rites. A native of Stanly county, Mrs. Sell was the daughter of the late William Furr and Mrs. Elizabeth Dunn Furr. Surviving are her husband, Charles A. Sell: one daughter, Mrs. Blaine Sell Barbee of Charlotte; two sons, W. Paul Sell and Reid A. Sell, both of Concord; one brother, Grover C. Furr of Greensboro; two sisters, Mrs. Mary F. Hill of Albemarle and Mrs. Ida F. Hampton of Rockwell; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Independent Tribune, Concord, North Carolina, October 19, 1965
