Marriage

The Albemarle, Feb. 17. — Mrs. Elizabeth Furr, widow of William E. Furr, died Sunday evening at 7 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wade Fowler, on North Second Street, at 7 o'clock. Mrs. Furr had been in declining health for some time, but her condition was not considered serious until Saturday when she suffered a heart attack. She was 82 years of age. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Stanly Funeral home, with Rev. F. A. Bower and Rev, George R. Currie officiating. The choir of First Baptist Church rendered music. Burial was at Bear Creek. Granddaughters served as flowerbearers and grandsons served as pallbearers. The following children survive: J. M. Furr, Cumberland, Va.; Mrs. Arabell Misenheimer, Lexington; Mrs. Sam Hampton, Salisbury; Mrs. Charles Sells, Oakboro; Grover C.
