Death
LOCUST -- Mary Lou Eudy, 91, of 9629 Mission Church Road, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at Hospice House Kannapolis. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12th, at Community Baptist Church, Rev. Richard Collins, Rev. Tim Kendall and Rev. Roy Barbee officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Born June 24, 1916 in Stanly County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Monroe Furr and the late Laura Jane Furr Furr. Mrs. Eudy was a homemaker, a member of Community Baptist Church, and the widow of the late Krone Harrison Eudy. Survivors are her sons, Clay Van Eudy, Wayne Eudy, and Johnny Eudy, all of Locust, NC, Kenneth Eudy of Rockwell, NC, Edward Eudy of Winston-Salem, NC, and Roger Eudy of Harrisburg, NC; daughters, Kay Eudy Proctor of Locust, NC, and Mary Jane Eudy Dorton of Concord, NC; brother, J. Doise Furr and sister, Dorsie Furr, both of Albemarle, NC; 22 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Phillip M. Eudy. Memorials are requested to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081, or North Carolina Lions Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 39, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
