Death
Dorsie Mae Furr, 96, of 31618 Clete Road, Albemarle, passed away November 4, 2011 at the Lutheran Home of Albemarle. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2011, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor Kevin Munson will officiate assisted by Elder Rommie Williams. The burial will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery where she attended as long as her health permitted. Born February 2, 1915, in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Monroe Furr and the late Laura Jane Furr Furr. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ellis, Homer, and Ernest Furr; seven sisters, Ethel, Mary Lou, and Florence Eudy, Edna Robinson, Ruth Almond, Maggie Leen and Sarah Jane Furr. She is survived by one brother, J. Dois Furr, of Albemarle, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was retired from Wiscassett Cotton Mill. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Furr family.Endnotes
