Death
MOUNT PLEASANT — Edna Furr Roberson, 62, of Route 1, died on Friday at her home. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Doug Moore, the Rev. Sherman Wallace and the Rev Sam Lesley. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, tonight from 7 to 9. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born Oct. 8, 1923, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Monroe and Laura Jane Furr. A homemaker, she was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband,Lincoln Reid Roberson; two daughters, Patricia Eudy of Norwood and Wanda Hartsell of Mount Pleasant; four brothers, Ellis Furr of Mount Pleasant, Homer and Ernest Furr, both of Concord and J. Dois Furr of Albemarle; six sisters, Ethel Eudy and Mary Lou Eudy, both of Stanfield, Ruth Almond of Mount Pleasant, and Sarah Furr, Magalene Furr and Dorsie Furr, all of Albemarle; and four grandchildren.Endnotes
