Death
ALBEMARLE — Maggie Leen Furr, 74, of Route 6, Clete Road, died June 7, 1988, at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Richard Almond and Elder Ted Morton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle tonight from 6 to 8. Born Aug 22, 1913, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Monroe and Laura Furr Furr. She had retired from Wiscassett Mill Co. Survivors include four brothers, Ellis Furr of Mount Pleasant, Homer and Ernest Furr, both of Concord, and J. Dois Furr of Albemarle; and five sisters, Sarah Jane and Dorsie Furr, both of the home, Ethel and Mary Lou Endy, both of Stanfield, and Ruth Almond of Mount Pleasant.Endnotes
