Death
Kenneth Ray Eudy, 59, of 190 Rock Olive Drive, Rockwell, passed away on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte. Born in Stanly County on May 7, 1950 to the late Krone Harrison Eudy and Mary Lou (Furr) Eudy. Also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ray Eudy; grandson, Chance Smith; and a brother, Phillip Monroe "Phil" Eudy. Mr. Eudy was a field supervisor with Straightline in Charlotte, and was a member of Community Baptist Church. A visitation was held on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 31, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Community Baptist Church with a 30 minute state. With the Rev. Richard Collins and Rev. Ed Grover officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include; wife, Vickie Renee (Strube) Eudy of Rockwell; daughters, Lisa (Eudy) Ashby of Fancy Gap, Va., Pamela (Eudy) Smith of Lumberton, and Michelle (Eudy) Cervantes of Kannapolis; brothers, Clay Van Eudy and wife, Daisy of Locust, Krone "Edward" Eudy of Winston Salem, Roger Eudy and wife, Sydney, of Harrisburg, John Calvin Eudy and wife, Wanda, of Locust, and Billy Wayne Eudy and wife, Shirley, of Locust; sisters, Mary Jane Dorton and husband, Frankie, of Concord; and Kay Proctor and husband Homer of Concord; six grandchildren, and 21 nieces and nephews.Published in the Concord & Kannapolis Independent Tribune on 8/31/2009
