Death
LOCUST - Krone Harrison Eudy, 87, of 9629 Mission Church Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Grover, the Rev. Richard Collins and the Rev. Tim Kendall officiating. Burial will be at Community Baptist Church Cemetery, Locust, with military rites performed graveside by the Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. Mr. Eudy was born June 25, 1918, in Stanly County, the son of the late Brantley Eli Eudy and the late Ida Elizabeth Barbee Eudy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having fought in World War II. He retired from Cannon Mills, Kannapolis, after 35 years as a cloth inspector. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son Phillip Eudy. Survivors include his wife, Mary Furr Eudy of the home; sons, Clay Vann Eudy, Wayne Eudy and Johnny Eudy, all of Locust, Kenneth Eudy of Rockwell, Edward Eudy of Kernersville and Roger Eudy of Harrisburg; daughters, Kay Eudy Proctor of Locust and Mary Jane Eudy Dorton of Concord; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. The family meeting place will be the home at 9639 Mission Church Road, Locust. Memorials may be made to Community Baptist Church, 818 N. Central Ave., Locust, NC 28097. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the family.Endnotes
