Death
Levi Furr, 78, retired farmer of Route 4, Albemarle, died Monday at 7:30 a.m. in the Stanly County Hospital following a short illness. Funeral arrangements were incomplete early Monday afternoon, according to Hartsell Funeral Home. Mr. Furr was son of the late Benjamin and Sarah Hatley Furr. He was married to the former Miss Eliza Poplin, who preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons, Vernon C. and Horace J. of Albemarle; seven daughters, Mrs. Harvey Burleson and Mrs. George Mauldin of Route 4, Albemarle, Mrs. D. A. Blake of Greensboro, Mrs. Oscar Harris of Charlotte, Mrs. Pat Cagle of New London, Mrs. Donald Herrin of Route 2, Oakboro, and Mrs. Jane Richardson of of Thomasville; 31 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one brother, Luther Furr of Richfield: and one sister, Mrs. K.
