Death
Mrs. Zola Viola Poplin, 34, wile of Vaughn Poplin of Oakwood Park, died Thursday morning at Yadkin hospital shortly after the birth of an infant daughter, Patsy Yuvonne. Mrs. Poplin was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi E. Furr of Route 4, Albemarle, and was a member of the Canton Baptist church. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Poplin's Grove Baptist church. The pastor, Rev. Boulch, will be assisted in the service by the Rev. C. C. Honeycutt. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Surviving, in addition to the husband and parents, are the infant daughter, Patsy and Billie Carol, at the home; three brothers, Horace and Vernon Furr of Route 4, and Dewey Furr of Charlotte; six sisters, Mrs. D. A. Blake of Greensboro, Mrs. Harvey Burleson, route 4, Mrs. Oscar Harris and Mrs. George Mauldin of Charlotte, Misses Mildred and Peggy Furr of Route 4.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, March 28, 1947
