Death
ALBEMARLE — Funeral services for Dewey Croson Furr, 42, Rt. 4, Albemarle, who died Wednesday from wreck injuries received near Mount Gilead, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Canton Baptist Church by the pastor, the Rev. O. H. Bolch, assisted by the Rev. Frank Moore of Charlotte. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a native of Stanly County and member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Charlotte. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Teeter Furr; one daughter, Linda Jane; one son, Gary Steve, both of Charlotte; his father, Levi Furr of Rt. 4, Albemarle; six sisters, Mrs. D. A. Blake of Greensboro, Mrs. Oscar Harris of Charlotte, Mrs. Harvey Burleson and Mrs. George Mauldin of Rt. 4, Albemarle, Mrs. Pat Cagle of Rt. 2, New London, and Mrs. Donald Herrin, Rt. 1, Oakboro; two brothers, Horace J.
