Death
Mrs. Evelyn Furr Harris, 76, of Charlotte died Feb. 13, 1995, at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Lawyers Road Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at McEwen Funeral Home, Mint Hill chapel. Mrs. Harris, a Stanley (sic) County native, was a homemaker. Survivors are her husband, Oscar; sons, Ted Harris, Mike Harris, both of Midland, Tony Harris, Richard Harris; brother, Horace Furr of Albemarie; sisters, Mrs. Mae Burleson, Mrs. Louise Maulden, both of Albemarle, Mrs. Peggy Herrin of Oakboro, Mrs. Mick Cagle of New London; 11 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, February 15, 1995
