Death
ALBEMARLE — Marshall Furr, farmer of Route 1, New London, died at 7 a.m. Thursday following a lengthy illness. He was a son of the late Israel and Sarah Hatley Furr of Stanly County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa Jane Furr; three sons, Daniel, Robert and Louis of New London; five daughters; Mrs. Lillie Mae Broadway, Mrs. Vera Lee and Mrs. Nellie Huneycutt of New London, Mrs. Loula Agnes Morton and Mrs. Ruby McIntyre of Albemarle; two brothers, Lonnie of Albemarle and Luther of Richfield; and three sisters, Mrs. Cletus Ridenhour and Mrs. Kemp Plowman of Richfield and Mrs. James Richardson of Old Fort. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Bear Creek Primitive ‘Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Jason Eudy. Burial will be in the church cemetery.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, September 27, 1957
