Death
ALBEMARLE — Carl Jenkins Furr 67, of Route 4, died 7 40 p.m. Sunday at Stanly Memorial Hospital after being in declining health for a number of years. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Cuff Ailen and the Rev Gary Hunsucker Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will taken from Lefler's Funeral Home today at 2 p.m. to the home on Route 4 and will remain there until taken to the church. Born Jan 7, 1914, in Stanly County, Mr Furr was a son of the late Andrew J and Tibitha Clementine Bowers Furr. He was a farmer. Survivors include wife, Nola Ann Burris Furr, four sons, Gerald Furr of Savannah, Ga., Carl J Furr Jr., Cecil V Furr, and Terry Lee Furr, all of Albemarle, three daughters, Mrs Hilda Blalock of Badin, Mrs. Janice Efird and Mrs Wanda Lowder, both of Albemarle, one brother, A Shuford Furr of Albemarle: one sister, Miss Bertha E Furr of Albemarle, 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.Endnotes
