According to Bible records, he married Tibitha on December 24, 1891 in the Lambert School House, Stanly County, NC.Death
Mrs. Andrew J. Furr, 86, died Sunday at 12:50 p.m. at her home on route 4, Albemarle, after an illness of several years. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elders C. M. Mills, Jason Eudy, and Cliff Allen. Burial was in the church cemetery. Daughter of the late Doyle and Oma Greene Furr of Stanly County, she is survived by three daughters, Misses Sarah Jane, Bertha, and Dora of the home; four sons, Shuford of Albemarle, Will of route 3, Albemarle, Allen and Carl of route 4, Albemarle; 28 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Ann Clark of Salisbury. Her husband, Andrew J. Furr, died in 1951.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, November 4, 1958
