Death
ALBEMARLE — Bertha Ellen Furr, 82, of Route 4, died at 1 50 pm Wednesday at her home after being in declining health for some time. The funeral will be held at 2pm Friday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Ted Morton and the Rev Gary Hunsucker Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, tonight from 7 to 9. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born Oct 4, 1902, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jenkins and Tibitha Clementine Bowers Furr Retired from Wiscassett Mill Co, she attended Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, A.S Furr of Albemarle, and a number of nieces and nephews.Endnotes
