Mr. Carl Jenkins Furr Jr., 50, plumber, died May 2, 1991, at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at Hartsell Funeral Home. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Nola Furr; brothers, Gerald Furr of Savannah, Cecil Furr, Terry Furr; sisters, Mrs. Janice Efird, Mrs. Hilda Blalock, Mrs. Wanda Lowder. Hartsell is in charge. The family will be at his mother's home, 24234 Austin Rd.

ALBEMARLE — Carl Jenkins Furr Jr , 50, of Route 4, Ramsey Road, died at 11 59 am Thursday, May 2, 1991, at Mercy Hospital, Charlotte. The funeral will be at 2 pm Saturday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Richard Almond and the Rev Gary Hunsucker Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, tonight from 7 to 9 and the remainder of the time at the home of his mother, Nola B Furr of 24234 Austin Rodd, Albemarle. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born March 18, 1941, in Albemarle, Furr was also a son of the late Carl Jenkins Furr. He was employed as a plumber by Lorch Plumbing and Heating. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include three brothers, Gerald L Furr of Savannah, Ga. and Cecil V and Terry L Furr, both of Albemarle, and three sisters, Janice F Efird, Hilda F Blalock and Wanda F Lowder, all of Albemarle.
