Death
Wanda Kay Furr Lowder, 73, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord. Wanda was born February 28, 1949 in North Carolina to the late Carl Jenkins Furr and the late Nola Burris Furr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gary Alexander Lowder, brothers; Gerald Furr and Cecil Furr and sister Hilda Blalock. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Jimmie Bartley and Rev. Thomas Andrufski. Survivors include sons, Chad (Shay) Lowder of Albemarle, NC and Scotty (Becky) Lowder of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Scotty (Jade) Lowder, Jr., Cody (Andrea) Lowder, Logan Lowder, Gideon Lowder, Emma Lowder, and soon to be grandson, Alexander Shane Lowder; and great-grandchildren, Kauner, Xavier, and Mason, brother, Terry (Anna) Furr and sister Janice (Donnie) Efird. Mom, Mimi, and Mama, There are so many ways to describe you, but we are giving the grandchildren the opportunity to say something special about you. Mimi was my peace and comfort in this chaotic world. Scotty Lowder Jr Mimi and roses are much the same. Each is God's masterpiece, just with different names. I love you, Cody Lowder I love how no matter how different we were, she never looked down on us she always loved us for who we are. She always brought peaceful energy.
