William Rochester is by the Court appointed guardian to John Rochester, Ann Rochester, Phillis Rochester, Nathaniel Rochester, & Hester Rochester, infants & orphans of John Rochester, dec'd. William Rochester with Robert Tidwell & Richard Read his securities acknowledged their bond for the same.
Note: this is undoubtedly Esther's brother-in-law. It is believed she had a son William who died young - in any case, he would not have been old enough to take charge of all his siblings.
Another entry at the same Court session:

Esther Critcher is listed in the Granville Co NC early Census of 1784. The lawsuit filed over her husband's debts states that she died about the year 1784 - likely her final tax payment.

(John Rochester's widow, Mrs. Hester Thrift Rochester, married a Mr. Thomas Critcher in 1759, They moved about the year 1763, to Granville County, North Carolina, taking the entire family with them, and;
She was the daughter of William Thrift and Ann Gower.
Her name was spelled "Esther Critcher" in the wills of her father (d. 1776 in Richmond VA) and her husband Thomas Critcher (d. 1778 in Granville NC). She had at least 4 children with Thomas Critcher who were under the age of 20 at the time of his death, which makes sense as they married in 1759.

Note: the estate file of Thomas Critcher lists five children: Thomas Jr., James, John Gore, Sarah, and Jane Thrift Critcher. Another child, William, perhaps the first born, died young.
