Obituary
HERMON and LEVANT - Homer L. Hodgdon, 83, husband of Zelma I. Hodgdon, died June 11, 1988, at a Bangor hospital. He was born at Levant, August 11, 1904, the son of Breighton and Beulah (Leach) Hodgdon. He was a fireman for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad for several years, and later was self-employed as a carpenter. He was a member of Minerva Grange in Levant for 69 years. Survivors include his wife, Zelma, of Hermon; one daughter and son-in-law, Freda and Dale Cooper of Spokane, Wash.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Homer Jr. and Joan of Bethel Park, Pa. and Carlton and Faye of Levant; one sister, Helen Redmond of Orono; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 9 p.m. Monday at Foley Funeral Service of Union Street, Bangor, where funeral services will be held 2 pm. Tuesday, with the Rev. Rick Lambert, pastor of the Levant Village Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Waugh Cemetery, Levant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hermon Rescue Squad, RFD No. 3, Box 1206, Bangor, 04401.Endnotes
